Unique from regular scanners, the Rotomat KT rotates continuously in one direction. By eliminating the time required to change directions every 360 degrees, a quick rotation time of only 36 seconds is possible on our standard size scanners.
The electronic components are linked by CAN-Bus. The ZigBee-Technology –qualified for industrial environment– is used for the wireless communication.
If a PC is connected to the data processor's Ethernet port, any internet browser can be used to check process data, to visualize the thickness profiles, and adjust the process parameters view error diagnostic data.
Support of after sales service has been considerably enhanced by the new ability to copy diagnostic data to a USB memory stick. This data on the memory stick can then be e-mailed to a service technician for expert review and resolution.

Variant: For blown film lines with rotating / reversing die is a stationary version available (K-300 thickness sensor with telescopic adjustment but without reversing unit).
Non-contact thickness sensor for measuring highly sensitive film without any scratches, based on the capacitive measurement principle with high measuring solution and precision, with radial adjustment for sensor. For measurement at the bubble, for lines with stationary or rotating dies. Existing thickness measuring units K-100 or K-300 can easily be converted to the non-contact thickness gauge KNC-400.
Application: KNC-400 is the perfect solution for very sticky and / or sensitive films
The thickness measuring system S-100 is based on the capacitive measurement principle. It measures not only the thickness, but also the layflat and webposition. Two sensors follow continuously the edges of the film. The profile refresh depends on the rotation time of the collapsing frame or die, 2 profiles per rotation can be measured. The communication to a foreign control system is done by the well-proofed PCD-LINK Protocol.
Application: S-100 has been developed for contact free measurement of barrier film
The K-300 CF Gauge is a simple and cost effective solution to upgrade existing lines. The compact device, which is mounted into the collapsing frame, has a built-in RS-485 port for connection to the PC with the PROFILSTAR.NET or other visualization software. A wireless communication module is optional available.
Application: Online thickness gauge for manual die adjustment. Helps to improve film quality and save raw material at the same time.
This thickness gauge is the perfect solution for blown film lines without automatic profile control system. The die can be manually adjusted according to the measured and displayed profiles. The result is not only quality improvement, but also remarkable savings of raw material.
The measuring bar can be easily installed at any position between the nip and the winder. Thanks to its compact design, there is enough room in every existing line.

Ultrasonic Bubble Detector
Non-contact ultrasonic sensor to adjust the distance between the Kündig K-100 thickness sensors and the bubble. It eliminates the friction caused by the adjustment flap.
